“Human Pillows” is the latest single from Bristol-based singer-songwriter Thomas Murphy Young.
Born in the South West of England, Thomas has been exploring and writing music for 10 years. His influences extend across a mix of genres from soundtrack, to acoustic pop and instrumental. His 4 years living in Cornwall and recent years visiting countries like Sweden, Iceland and Denmark has inspired a Hygge sound, with Thomas wanting to producing a sound that reflects a “wholesome, chilled vibe, that bring a sense of calm and rest”
Speaking about the song, Thomas reveals: “Human Pillows is about sharing the intimacy of a slow morning with someone; a reminder to be present. It’s about taking it easy, and exploring another person’s body, and sharing a personal space with them, before the day speeds up and takes off. It’s about reminding ourselves that we’ve got time, when often we think we don’t.”
