JONAH – Ocean Wide

Berlin-based indie dream-pop duo JONAH (comprised of Angelo Mammone and Christian Steenken) just dropped the new single “Ocean Wide”. “Ocean Wide” was created while Angelo and Christian were stranded in California after missing their flight back home. It’s a dreamy song about capturing a moment on borrowed time.

The official music video is a shortened version of Jason Hearn’s short film “No Regrets”, detailing professional surfer Ricky Basnett returning to surfing after eight years of alcoholism. Speaking on the video created for JONAH, London-based South African filmmaker shared: “It has been great to repackage the story of my friend Ricky Basnett into a shorter format. The story has helped so many people and to see it now being reborn into a music video with an amazing song, we hope that more people will be inspired to turn around their lives for the better”.

“Ocean Wide” is a reminder to take each day as it comes. After all, five minutes can make all the difference.
