Dirty White Shoes is a Portland, Oregon-based band (with bandmates based in both Portland and Vancouver), led by Angel Ascencio. After releasing their debut single “Hollywood Looks Good on You” in 2019, the band has kept busy dropping tracks that have put them on the map as a 2020 music project to watch.
After a string of well received singles, Dirty White Shoes released their 6th single “Sucks It Hurts This Bad”
Talking about the new song, Angel Ascencio reveals: “This song started back in February of this year and the idea came after facing the reality that it sucks to hurt. Simple as that. Sometimes that’s all it takes though, learning to accept the pain but to keep pursuing your best self, and allowing your heart to take a break to allow room for healing. It was just a one liner I couldn’t stop singing in my head, and now it’s finished. After logging in months, days, and hours, Jordan and I were able to write and produce what we think could be Dirty White Shoes’ best song ever! (Its poppy, soft, and gives off BIG band vibes all in one lol. Its sooooo good!)”
