London-based singer-songwriter Imogen Mahdavi returns with the new song “Crowd of Thoughts”. The new track, produced by Grammy-award winning producer and engineer Eddie Serafica, follows her confessional and cinematic breakout singles “Doormat Darling” and “Rock The Boat”, which put her on the map as the artist to watch.
The collaboration sees the London artist leveling up her sound for her first song of 2020, giving listeners a taste of what to expect from her debut EP later this year. In June “Crowd of Thoughts” made its hometown debut on BBC Radio London as she begins to pick up regular radio rotation.
Elaborating upon the song’s origins, Imogen explains: “I wrote this song when I hit my peak of overthinking all of my decisions instead of going with my intuition. I wanted to overcome my anxiety, spend less time worrying about things which are out of my control and instead trust that my body would guide me through. I wrote this in a period of life for me which was testing my human spirit and just wanted to make a piece of music I could find comfort and hope in”.
